Kutupalong: A high level USA delegates team visited Kutupalong Rohingya refugees camp in Bangladesh at around 10:45 am today, October 27.

The delegation team met with Rohingya refugees Camp Management Committee (CMC) chairman Mr Mohammed Imran, vice chairman Ms Kaleda and camp-in-charge (CIC). During the half an hour meeting Rohingya representatives discussed about the current situation of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, budgets implementation system that the United States donated for refugees and also raised about the ongoing genocide against the persecuted minority Rohingya in their native land in Myanmar. Rohingya refugee representatives requested United Nations (UN), the United States and others national and international humanitarian organisations, through the delegates team to mediate and raise their strong voice to immediately stop the Genocide in Myanmar. They also committed to intervene Myanmar government and relevant international authorities to create pressure for Rohingya issues.

ktp-_us-16After the meeting they went inside the camp to view their budget implementation projects where Rohingya refugees of all groups – man, women and children warmly welcomed the delegates and held variety of posters, placards, banners requesting for the durable solutions for Rohingya issue and to stop the ongoing Genocide upon innocent Rohingya ethnic minority.

ktp-_us-11The delegates team consists of USA embassy in Bangladesh and U.S Department of State: Bureau of Population, refugee and migration and others respectable personalities.

“We expect USA will strongly cooperate Rohingya for the durable solutions to refugees and IDPs issues and to stop the ongoing Genocide against us in Myanmar”, said Mr Mohammed Imran (CMC chairman).
