“Rohingya Youth Association fully support Gender Equality in Rohingya communities”

One of the principal missions of RYA is to eliminate gender discrimination within Rohingya communties and promote equality, respect and equal opportunities for women and girls.

RYA recognize the value and standing of women and girls in their own right as well as their value for society as a whole.

The guiding principles of RYA are equality, inclusiveness and openness to progressive ideas and ideals. RYA seeks to ensure the new generation of Rohingyas – boys and girls, men and women – stand against discrimination and oppression of Rohingya girls and women.

RYA members, both men and women, strive to learn and adopt the values of gender equality.

Finally, RYA believes gender equality in daily life, education, work and community can and will empower – not weaken – our societies.
