Maldivian human rights activist Shahida Muhammad said that the current solutions for Rohingya refugees are insufficient, noting that there are no safe areas to return to in Myanmar, Burma.

In her statemen to Unews Press Agency on the sidelines of Human Rights Council session in Geneva, Shahida called for “justice for 1.5 million Rohingya refugees and their return to their homes,”, adding that they suffer from “state (Myanmar, Burma) terrorism.

“Existing solutions are not enough, there is not enough security to come back,” she stressed.
