Carlow County Development Partnership and Rohingya Action Ireland launch the research report on the resettlement of Rohingya community in Carlow.

The report titled “Welcome to Carlow: Ten Years of Rohingya Refugee Resettlement in Carlow”, is the first-of-its-kind in Ireland which looks at resettlement of a refugee community.

Members of Rohingya community who were resettled in Ireland, particularly in Carlow, from Kutupalong and Nayapara refugee camps in Bangladesh where they have spent at least 17 years after fleeing Myanmar Military Junta’s “Operation Clean Nation” in 1991/2.

Now they are the citizenship of Ireland where they find a new home.
